Welcoming you to Borgo del Mincio you will find a normal, but large, family and a small mestizo dog named Nutella.
Mother Daniela and father Giovanni got married in the year of the Italia '90 World Cup, and gradually we sons Pietro, Leonardo, Vittorio and Giulio came along.
In 2017, we opened a B&B in Mantua that had been studied in every detail: from the furnishings to the kitchen, from the types of services offered to the tourist welcome (a theme we are very fond of). We were happy, but something was still missing, and since "if you can dream it, you can do it," we rolled up our sleeves until we came to realize our dream, the present Borgo del Mincio. The realization of this project required great
commitment and sacrifice, but the enormous satisfaction we have experienced and breathed every day spent working to make it beautiful and welcoming makes us very proud. We are in a historic 1700s farmhouse in Volta Mantovana, on the Morenic Hills within the Mincio Park. Beauty should be shared, and we want this place to be experienced and savored by anyone who comes to visit us for a short or long period of relaxation in nature.
He is like a cricket, wise and eclectic. He is a volcano of ideas and impatient in getting things done: he gets up at night to take notes and the next morning tries to convince others of the goodness of his nocturnal inspirations.
We can compare her to a mother hen: with her degree in pedagogy, the role of mother and teacher she certainly could not avoid! A great devourer of books and lover of movies, she organizes herself on everything she has to do without ever forgetting her beloved relaxation breaks.
He is cat-like: thoughtful, athletic and already launched into married life with wife Elisa and little Ludovica. An economics graduate, he now works in the food business.
He is as strong as a bamboo. He lives alone, but his house seems like a perpetual camp: chaos is his order, but he always arrives on time in the end. Leonardo is good at cooking and always attentive to new things coming from the world of catering and tourist hospitality.
Wherever he is he puts down roots, deep and solid, like an oak tree. Punctuality is not his strong suit, but he made it precisely and regularly to his engineering degree! Attentive to environmental and social issues, he is involved in agriculture looking toward a green and sustainable future.
He is definitely a giraffe: whimsical, unique, and with a strong interest in art, which he decided to cultivate by attending art high school. What to do in the future he has not yet decided, but it will definitely be something unconventional.
He is a deputy sheriff waiting for the sheriff competition. Our acquired receptionist is sociable, sleepy and always ready to greet everyone by wagging her tail in hopes of a caress, and maybe some cookies.
We definitely still have so much to learn about the world of hospitality, but we invite and expect you to come to Borgo del Mincio with a smile on your face: because a happy look is contagious and helps you live better!
